Nepali migrant worker stabbed to death by compatriot in Malaysia

RUKUM: A Nepali migrant worker was killed in Malaysia after being attacked reportedly by his Nepali room partner with a knife.

The deceased has been identified as Ananta Ukhira (24) of Bafikot-1 in Rukum. Gopal Pariyar from Salyan stabbed Ukhira on Monday night in their apartment over a minor dispute, said Ukhira's relative Bal Bahadur BK.

Ukhira, who had gone to Malaysia three years ago, had been working there illegally after he left his company six months ago, he said.

Meanwhile, the deceased's family has urged the government to bring Ukhira's body back to Nepal and take a stern action against the guilty.
