Nepal recorded 223 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 822,172 while the death toll climbed to 11,535 fatalities today. Meanwhile, no fatalties were reported on Friday.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 803,716 with 347 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 7,836 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 6,400 were PCR tests while 1,436 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,649,390 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 23 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 246.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 6,921.

Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Tuesday, Nepal had witnessed 281 cases of the coronavirus infection while three persons succumbed to the disease in the same period.
