New teaching methods adopted

National Primary Level Teaching Skill Programme has been launched in government schools from this academic session in Dadeldhura.

A source at District Education Office, Dadeldhura said the new techniques for teaching and learning have been adopted in government schools as the traditional approach was found demotivating children.

District Education Officer Durga Bista said as many as 12,960 children up to Grade III and 747 teachers of the district would benefit directly from the newly implemented approach. He said the programme was launched in Dadeldhura for the first time.

The programme aims to set up a library, launch an awareness programme among guardians, organise various training programmes for teachers, and use various education materials to make teaching-learning activities more effective.

The Head Teacher of Samaiji Primary School Tej Bahadur Bohora said, “Students are excited about learning and have become motivated after launching these new techniques in the school.”
