Nidhi directs APF for smooth security for local poll

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister, Bimalendra Nidhi, has urged the Armed Police Force to ensure smooth security arrangement for the upcoming local poll.

Addressing a concluding ceremony of 'Command and Staff Course' programme organised by the APF Headquarters, on Friday, DPM Nidhi directed the APF security personnel to be ready professionally to fulfill any responsibilities assigned by the government.

Ten Deputy Superintendents of the APF had participated in 18-month course. DSP Deepak Baral received the 'Best Research Award', 'Best Academic Award' and 'Best Command and Staff Corse Award'.

On the occasion, DPM Nidhi, Rector of the Tribhuvan University, Prof Dr Sudha Tripathi, and APF Inspector General, Singh Bahadur Shrestha, presented awards and certificates to the cadets.
