Nine hurt in clash

BARA: Nine persons, including three police personnel, were inured when a clash ensued between locals and contractors on Wednesday. They clashed over a fishing contract in a historical Jharokhara Pokhari in Kachorba VDC-9 of Bara. The police had to resort to firing into the air to take hold of the situation. However, Police Inspector Kamalesh Bhatta, head constable Sunil Singh and constable Nanda Kishor Das were injured, the District Police Office Bara informed. Likewise, among the contractors, Baidhyanath Prasad Yadav, Shivanarayan Prasad Yadav, Mahendra Raya Yadav and Rama Prasad Shah were injured. Locals, Jitendra Yadav and Nagendra Majhi have sustained injuries, too. The injured are undergoing treatment at local clinics.
