Nine taken ill after consuming jungle honey in Dhading

DHADING: As many as nine persons have been taken ill after consuming wild honey in Borang village of Ruby Valley Rural Municipality-4, Dhading district, on Sunday.

Three persons said to be in critical condition were airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment.

The victims showed symptoms of dizziness, diarrhoea, fatigue after tasting wild bee honey harvested by Sukman Tamang from a nearby jungle in the district, Ward Chief Prashant Tamang said.

Former home minister Buddhi Bahadur Tamang was born in the remote Borang village, which has yet to get access to road connectivity.
