BIRATNAGAR: Thirty-nine border pillars in various places that were swept away by rivers during the

monsoon have not been put back in place yet. Visitors in the area are in a state of confusion about the border for the pillars are still missing.

According to border security office Biratnagar, most of the 24 pillars in the area from Daraiya to Mirjadangi of Mahadev VDC have been swept away. A police officer at border security office said that they had informed the matter to higher authority, but to no avail. The office has accused the government of turning deaf ears to their frequent requests.
