‘No debate over Buddha’s birthplace’

Bhairahawa, April 30

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today said that since there were clear evidences corroborating his birth in Nepal it was not necessary to deliberate and debate over Gautam Buddha’s birthplace.

Speaking at a ceremony organised to mark the 2562nd Buddha Jayanti and Lumbini Day in Lumbini, Oli urged foreigners, who were confused about Buddha’s birthplace, to visit Nepal, understand the facts and be clear on the issue of Buddha’s birth.
