No immediate decision on medical education: Education Minister

TILOTAMMA, RUPANDEHI: Minister for Education Girirajmani Pokharel said that the government would not take prompt decision concerning medical education in the country.

Deliberations would also not take place on new subjects before the decision taken by the previous government; about the subjects that medical colleges would teach, is enforced, Pokharel said while addressing a programme organised by Private and Boarding School Association of Nepal (PABSON), Rupandehi on Friday.

The previous decision to charge Rs 3.5 million as fee and to be collected in installments will be seen through the implementation. The changes in the previous decision would be made only if problems rose in it, he added.
