No more instability, says acting PM
Hetauda, September 24
Acting Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel today argued that the present government had broken the long spell of political instability prevailing in the country.
Inaugurating a newly built school building of Mahendra Secondary School in Bhimphedi, Makawanpur, today, the acting prime minister said, “There were times when a government would barely last for six months, but those days have become the past now with our party at the helm.”
“With the formation of this government and the political stability it represents, the country is now ready to take strides on the path of prosperity and development,” he observed, adding that no country could attain prosperity as long as the scourge of political instability prevailed.
He, however, said there was still a great deal of work for the government to do to set the country on track.
“Though we’ve already attained the biggest driving force of national prosperity, i.e., political stability, there are still more things to be done, such as changing policy, structure, and practice-related things, without which long-lasting prosperity was sure to remain a far cry,” he remarked.
