No need of trade unions with political rights: Minister Pandit
POKHARA: Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister Lal Babu Pandit on Sunday said that the country does not need trade unions with political rights.
Directing chiefs of all district level offices of Kaski in Pokhara, Minister Pandit also reiterated that civil servants must accept work stations assigned to them by the government. He also said that government would encourage and punish the government staffers on the basis of performance.
Minister Pandit suggested all the civil servants must be focused on providing proper services to the people rather than getting involved in unnecessary trade union related activities.
He also requested the staffers to provide their suggestions to government over federal civil service act, which is being formulated.
"We are fully focused on introducing the programmes for overall development of civil servants and in upcoming budget, we will also try to address your (civil servants) demands." Minister Pandit concluded.
