No Nepali impacted in Turkey violence: MoFA

KATHMANDU: The government said no Nepali has been impacted in violence ensued after a failed coup attempt, in Istanbul and Ankara of Turkey.

On the official Twitter account, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Nepalis living in Istanbul, Ankara and other affected places have been advised to say home to avoid any fatality.

Likewise, it added that the government had communicated with Nepal's Honorary Consul in Istanbul about the recent developments and has been closely following unfolding of the events.

Closely following the developments in Turkey. Spoke with Hon Consul in Istanbul. No news of Nepalese been impacted. Advised to stay inside.
