BIRATNAGAR: Police in Biratnagar, seized seven pistols and two pipe bombs from the headquarters of Ranabir Sena today. Last Sunday,the Police had detained Binod Pandey, chief of Ranabir Sena, from Biratnagar-4. According to DSP Bidyananda Majhi, police found the buried ammunitions through an informant, Navin Pandey, younger brother of Binod Pandey. The duo, however, had a seperate hideouts. "The case needs further investigation," the Police said. "Security has been beefed up in the area following the incident," the police assured.

RP Mainali, chief of Defense Army, is in police custody since Saturday. The defense army had taken responsibility for bombings at different places on different times. The bombings have already claimed 9 lives.

Recently, a bomb was also detonated at NC Central Office in Sanepa. Police had detained Susan Kharel and Tribhuwan Yadav from Biratnagar in connection with the blast. Yadav is the Morang commander of the outfit. While Kharel belonged to the Defense Army based in Biratnagar.
