KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 6
Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the NC will not opt for a show of strength by bringing many people in its 14th General Convention as there is still the risk of COV- ID-19 in the country.
Talking to mediapersons at the PM's official residence today, he said no crowd would gather creating hassles for the general public during the inaugural session of the general convention.
The 14th General Convention of the NC is scheduled from December 10 to 12 in Kathmandu.
Saying he would file his candidacy for the post of president once again, President Deuba asked all mediapersons for support.
It will be good for the party and government if he is reelected the party, he argued.
This is his last opportunity to become party president as the party statute bars him from standing for the post in the next general convention, he reminded.
The PM said the electoral alliance among the ruling coalition partners would be only for elections to the National Assembly and discussions are yet to take place on continuing the alliance for other elections.
