Fund set up

A non-expendable fund has been set up to pay for the education of impoverished children in Panchami VDC of Panchthar.

The fund with an initial deposit of 120,000 rupees was set up with Kuber Lingden as the main trustee, and Saroj Yonghang as trustee. A committee to handle the fund has been formed.

A meeting of the locals held under the chairmanship of local social worker Padamsingh Lingden on Sunday formed the committee to run the fund. Various local leaders including representatives of local schools of Panchami were also present in the meeting. Speaking at the meeting, Kuber Lingden, the main trustee, spoke of his plan to peg the fund amount to 5 lakh rupees in the future.

On the occasion, he handed over the initial fund amount of 120,000 rupees to the committee.
