NSP-A office padlocked

Siraha, April 24:

Constituent assembly poll candidates of Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Anandidevi) in Siraha district today shooed out all party cadres from their district office and padlocked after alleging that NSP-A district president Abdul Halim had siphoned off money from the party coffers and played a negative role in the April 10 election.

NSP-A candidates from Siraha’s Constituencies No 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 Ajay Kumar Paswan, Bechan Thakur, Ramanand Jha, Yogendra Narayan Singh and Mohammed Ibrahim issued a joint statement saying that the padlocking would continue indefinitely. They added that they had to face defeat because Abdul Halim canvassed for candidates of other parties. They urged the party central command to take stern action against him.

Meanwhile, the district unit of Nepali Congress issued a statement saying that the party had expelled four district members, including former minister Surendra Das, Nepal Students’ Unien district president Parmanand Prabhakar, FSU district vice-president Prabhat Yadav and FSU member Subhas Kumar Das from all posts and even the primary membership of the party. It added that they had worked against the party’s interests during the April 10 CA poll.
