NSP for full flush aid for martyrs’ kin

Kathmandu, April 29:

Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandi Devi), a partner in the seven-party alliance, has appealed to the government to provide Rs 10,00,000 each the families of all those who attained martyrdom during the mass movement. Other demands put forth by the party include employment to each member of the bereaved family, free education to the children of martyrs and free treatment to the injured kin of the martyrs. The party’s central working committee meeting held at the party office, Tripureswor, today asked the government to form a “powerful commission” to investigate and take action against all those involved in suppressing the mass movement.

Saying the reinstatement of the House of Representatives was just the beginning, the party said it is committed to implementing the 12-point understanding between the Maoists and parties. “The reinstated House should pave the way for formation of a constituent assembly, establishment of inclusive democracy and restructuring of the state,” the party said in a statement. The CWC meeting of the party will continue tomorrow, the party said.
