TRISHULI: The District Soil Conservation Office,  Nuwakot launched greenery promotion campaign on Monday.

The office has been distributing saplings of different varieties to the locals as a part of campaign meant for increasing green area, environmental conservation and building an eco-friendly community, according to Nuwakot's Chief District Officer Bishnu Prasad Pokhrel.

'One house one tree, one village one forest and one town multiple gardens' is the motto of the campaign. The office has planned to distribute 50,000 saplings of different varieties to the locals free of cost, District Soil Conservation Officer Sundar Prasad Sharma said.
