Kathmandu, April 1:
The Office of Controller of Examination (OCE), with regard to the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination, is planning to put up all the required information about schools on the official website of the ministry from next year to check cheating by unregistered tuition centres and schools.
Birendra Kumar Singh, the OCE controller, said that the OCE is working to provide information on all schools irrespective of whether it is registered at the district education office or not. “By providing information, the parents will become aware of unregistered institutes which dupe students,” said Singh during an interaction held here today.
This year 250 students could not appear for the exam as coaching centres and schools could not provide admit cards. Last year, 14 students from Care Top School could not appear for the SLC as the school was not registered.
