Oli-led govt should step down: Kiranti
Kathmandu, December 25
Standing Committee member of Unified CPN-Maoist Gopal Kirati today said the KP Sharma Oli-led government should step down as it had failed to deliver.
He also claimed that the Oli-led government would not last for more than more than 100 days.
“This government would collapse after celebrating 100 days. If it doesn’t, parties should make it happen as this government has failed to address people’s concerns,” Kirati said at a function today.
Kirati claimed that he had also raised the issue during the Central Committee meeting of the party and had urged the party leadership to recall ministers from the party.
“However, party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal told the meeting to wait at least till the government celebrated its 100 days,” he said. Stating that expansion of the Cabinet at a time when black-marketing was flourishing across the country was shameful, he said the government had taken no concrete steps towards resolving the Madhes agitation.
Kiranti said he would protest Oli’s shameful activities and urged everyone to follow suit. He also warned disintegration of Madhes from the country if the government failed to address the demands of the protesting Madhes-based parties.
