Oli receives birthday wishes from Modi, Swaraj

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is currently in New Delhi of India on an official visit, celebrated his 65th birthday on Monday.

The 65th birthday seems to have turned memorable for the leader as he received birthday wishes from his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi and Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj also.

According to Prime Minister's press advisor Pramod Dahal, who has accompanied Oli in the visit, Modi had conveyed the wishes via India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Minister of State for Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) Shripad Yesso Naik.

Doval and Naik had met Oli today separately.

Modi had sent a couple of bouquets to Oli with them.

Meanwhile, Indian Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj also extended birthday greetings to Nepali Prime Minister Oli during her address at a function organised by the Indian Council of World Affairs.

She even claimed that she was his elder sister in an apparent bid to show affection to Oli. According to the Indian Minister, she is eight-day elder to the Nepali Prime Minister.
