HETAUDA: Chief Minister Dormani Poudel recommended the name of Om Prasad Thapaliya for the vacant post of Chief Attorney of Province 3.

The post for the chief attorney was vacant after the then chief attorney Suryachandra Neupane resigned from the post. Various lawyers from Kathmandu and Hetauda were in run for the post.

Thapaliya, who has been recommended to the post is scheduled to take the oath of office and secrecy from the provincial governor Anuradha Koirala on July 28.

Thapalya, a resident of kalanki in Kathmandu Metropolitan city-14 was born in Madanpur Rural Municipality of Nuwakot district. He has completed his MA in Political science and LLM.

Thapaliya started career in law field being an advocate in 1987 and was promoted to senior attorney in 2017.
