Landslide blocks road
ILAM: Land slide has blocked the Hakate-Kutidanda road section of Ilam on the Mechi Highway. This has stranded passengers since Friday. A bulldozer and passengers themselves cleared the road section but it is still difficult to run heavy vehicles. Rainfall frequently causes road blocks on this road section. Locals say extraction of stones from the side of the Highway while repairing the road has resulted in repeated land slides. A local transport entrepreneur Krit Limbu said: “Traffic came to a halt in the road section for three times this week.” — HNS
