KATHMANDU: Nursing Association of Nepal on Wednesday padlocked the office of Nepal Nursing Council over the appointment of new registrar. Issuing a press statement, NAN demanded that the decision be revoked. "At a time when the NNC was busy consulting with nursing institutes regarding the new admissions, the government's decision to appoint a new registrar has undermined the council," it said. — HNS

Accident claims 2 lives

SINDHUPALCHOWK: Two persons died and seven were injured when a mini truck met with an accident at Akkar along the Araniko Highway on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Sandorje Tamang and Laxman Tamang. —HNS
