NEPALGUNJ: The Banke District Administration Office has banned pillion riding on motorcycles in the district with effect from Wednesday. The administration has also banned wearing helmets with coloured visors by the motorbike drivers. — HNS

POKHARA: Security forces have seized explosives, bullets and other goods from different areas of the Syangja. In a search operation, the forces seized a projector, cordless phone set and explosives from Chitre Bhanjyang, Kichanas, Lewa, Khai-rikot and Chisapani areas on Monday and Tuesday, the RNA said. — HNS
Tiger mauls one
KATHMANDU: One local was injured when a tiger attacked him at Tilpokhari, Phutung VDC-5 of Kathmandu. Premod Ghimire, 23, resident of Mahankal-8, Kathmandu, was injured when a tiger attacked him, police said. He is undergoing treatment at Teaching Hospital. — HNS
