Kathmandu: The Nepali version of Windows XP and Office 2003 will be launched in the capital on November 28, 2005, the Unlimited Numedia, which has been working with Microsoft on a localisation project for a year, said here on Thursday .According to Sunaina Ghimire, localisation project coordinator of Unlimited, the availability of Windows XP and Office 2003 in Nepali will play a vital role in promoting the use of information and communication technology in Nepali language. —HNS
Curfew reimposed
KAPILVASTU: District Administration Office (DAO) has re-imposed curfew in Kapilvastu. The DAO has imposed curfew in the district from 10 pm to 3 am at night daily with effective from Thursday until further notice. DAO said that the curfew was imposed according to Local Administration Act 2028, Section 6 (Ka). — HNS
One killed in mishap
Pokhara: One student was killed and nine others were injured when a passenger micro-bus en route to Begnas Tal of Lekhnath Municipality from Pokhara met with an accident near Bijaypur river of Kaski on Thursday. According to the police, the accident occurred due to the failure of the steering of the micro-bus. The deceased was identified as Nirmal Tamang of Pokhara Sub metropolis, Chauthe- 4. —HNS
