Devotees take holy dip
NARAYANGARH: A large number of devotees took a dip in the Narayani river on the occasion of Haribodhani Ekadashi on Saturday. Hindu devotees take bath on every Ekadashi, especially on Harisayani and Haribodhani. Narayangarh bazaar remained busy and crowded due to cross-flow of devotees, said Gopiman Shrestha, a shopkeeper. — HNS

KAVRE: Six-year-old Manish Koirala, a resident of Banepa-11, died when a motorcycle hit him in Dhaneshwor on Saturday, the police said. The police have taken Bibek Luitel, the motorcyclist, into custody. — HNS

School to reopen
DHANUSHA: Thanks to efforts made by educationists, Satyanath Sanskrit Vidhyashram, a six-decade-old Sanskrit school which was closed for the past few years, will reopen soon. Dev Narayan Shah, a social worker, said arrangements for reopening the school have been made. — RSS
Fertiliser confiscated
BHARATPUR: The Armed Police Force, Gadhimai Battalion on Friday seized 155 sacks containing fertiliser from a truck. The cargo was being smuggled out to Kathmandu from Birgunj. The truck was sent to Birgunj customs office. — RSS
