Rights of 133 abused

TANAHUN: At least 133 persons were victimised in 43 human rights violation cases reported in Tanahun from January 1 to June 30, 2005, said a report released on Tuesday by INSEC, Tanahun unit. Eighty-three men and 15 women were victimised by the state, 16 men and women were victimised by the Maoists, and eight men, two women and one child were victimised by other sectors. — HNS

Two commit suicide

CHARIKOT: A 76-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, residents of Bhimeshwor Municipality-2 and Namdu VDC-5, committed suicide by hanging themselves on Monday. The deceased have been identified as Puja Bahadur Joshi and Radhika Rimal. — HNS
