Bus-hit claims one

BIRATNAGAR: An 82-year-old Bhut-anese refugee died on the spot when a bus hit him at the Sanischare road section of the Mahendra Highway on Monday, the District Traffic Office said. The deceased was identified as Gauriman Magar of the Sector E 3 of the Bhutanese Refugee Camp. — HNS

Boat capsize toll three

RAUTAHAT: The death toll in Sunday’s boat capsize at the Lal Bakaiya river has reached three. Two bodies were recovered on Sunday at the riverbank located two kilometers from the spot. CPN-UML general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal has expressed shock at the incident. — HNS
