Cop kidnapped
MAHENDRANAGAR: A group of suspected Maoists kidnapped a police head constable on Saturday from Gauji of Kanchanpur district. The District Police Office (DPO), Kanchanpur said police head constable Kishan Chand, working at Regional Police Unit, Mahendranagar, was kidnapped from his home where he had gone for a leave to plant paddy. — HNS
Poisoning toll four
TANSEN: Three people undergoing treatment at the Tansen Mission Hospital after they ate poisonous mushrooms died on Saturday. Yesterday one person had died of poisoning. Sandip Khadka, 6, Shanti Gaire, 32 and his Wasna Gaire, 9, died while undergoing treatment, the hospital administration said. More than 30 people have reported to the hospital after eating poisonous mushrooms in the district, the hospital said. — HNS
