KATHMANDU: Ang Tshering Sherpa was once again unanimously elected president of the Nepal Mountaineering Association for a three-year term at the NMA elections held on Tuesday. Dog rips body

BARA: The dead body of new-born, with its umbilical cord still attached, was dragged into Pannabagh of Kalaiya-4, Bara, by a dog on Tuesday. It is presumed that the baby boy was illegally aborted and thrown away. According to Bara District Police Office, investigation into the case has begun. — HNS

One killed

Chitwan: A person was killed when a passenger bus Na 1 Kha 4672, heading Malangawa from Kathmandu, hit him at Milan road, Narayangadh on Tuesday. Four shops were also damaged. The dead has been identified as Om Bahadur Kumal of Shukra Nagar 3. The bus rammed into the sweet shop killing Kumal on the spot. The bus driver Bishnu Dangal has been taken into custody. — HNS
