Two injured in mishap

Banke: Two persons were injured on Friday night when a motorcycle they were riding fell into a crater that had been created by an explosion caused by the Maoists on Nepalgunj-Kohalpur road at Parvatipur on Ratna highway. Banke resident Punaram Sunar and his son Sandip, sustained injuries. — HNS

Crown Prince in Tokyo

TOKYO: Crown Prince Paras and Crown Princess Himani arrived in Tokyo from Kyoto on Saturday evening. They are scheduled to grant audience to the office-bearers of the Japan-Nepal Society and Japan Alpine Club here on Sunday. — RSS

Prisoners freed

BAGLUNG: Four prisoners were released from the Baglung jail to mark the King’s 59th birthday on Friday. The released include Hem Lal BK, Dil Bahadur BK, Punya Gautam and Devi Singh Aitalal who were imprisoned in different cases. They were released in the presence of Dhaulagiri Zonal Administrator Ramji Bist.— HNS
