V-C Tripathi’s call

Lahan: Prof Dr Basudev Tripathi, vice-chancellor of Royal Nepal Academy, on Friday stressed the need for study of and excavation work in historical sites within Mithilanchal. FNJ unit forms new body

BIRATNAGAR: The Federation of Nepalese Journalists, Morang unit, on Saturday elected an 11-member new body headed by Shiva Bahadur Karki. Sharadraj Joshi, Dilli Pokharel and Narendra Dahal were elected vice-president, secretary and treasurer respectively. Bijaya Kumar Pathak, Brhamdev Yadav, Bikram Luitel, Bijaya Khatiwada, Lalita Bhattarai, Jagnath Bhattarai and Narendra Rai were elected members of the new body. —HNS

Baby crocs released

BHARATPUR: Ten baby crocodiles were released into Rapti river on Friday. The Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation did so to mark 10th wildlife week. More than 580 baby crocodiles have been released so far in the Narayani, Rapti, Karnali Mahakali and Koshi rivers. — RSS
