Short circuit: Six hurt

POKHARA: Six persons were injured when they received an electric shock at Kudharchowk in Pokhara on Tuesday. Yadav Sunar and Nirmal Banstola of Kaski, Madhani Prasad Sangraula of Terhathum, Poskant Basyal of Palpa, Jaya Kumar Tamang of Nuwakot and Lok Bahadur Gharti of Tanahun were those injured while erecting electricity poles, police said. They are being treated in local health facilities, police said. — HNS

UGC forms committee

KATHMANDU: University Grant Commission has formed a seven-member committee in order to solicit suggestion on establishing a medical college in Kailali. Issuing a statement on Tuesday, UGC said the committee is headed by Dr Kabir Nath Yogi. — HNS
