Barrage-hit seek damage

RAJBIRAJ: People living near the Koshi barrage, in a memorandum submitted to the DAO, Dhanusha, on Wednesday have threatened to launch an indefinite agitation if they are not provided compensation. The government had urged them to vacate the place immediately. VDC secretary abducted

DHANKUTA: Suspected Maoists on Wednesday abducted Pitraman Limbu, secretary of Faksib VDC in Dhankuta, from his office. The Maoists had warned VDC secretaries not to carry out works from their offices. Peon Keshav Ghimire, who was abducted along with Limbu, was released in the afternoon. — HNS
