Khanal meets GPK

Kathmandu: CPN-UML chairman Jhalanath Khanal on Tuesday met NC President Girija Prasad Koirala at the latter’s residence in Maharajgunj. Sources said that the duo deliberated on ways to bring the Maoist to an agreement in order to end the existing political impasse. The duo has agreed to form a mechanism to end the political deadlock. Both the leaders also expressed their concern over the delay in drafting the constitution, house disruption and also the Maoist’s protests among others. — HNS

Two injured in blast

BARA: Two persons were injured when a bomb carried by them went off in Bara’s Simara on Tuesday. One of them is in critical condition while one has some minor injuries. District Police Office said, “Hiralal Yadav of Manaharba-3 and Bishnu Mandal of Manaharba-5 were injured, when

Chinese looted

KATHMANDU: An unidentified gang on Monday looted four laptops worth Rs 2,62,000 from a Chinese national in Lalitpur. The looters, at gunpoint, made away with the notebooks from his rented room. The looters are still at large, police said. —HNS
