Malla era goods found
Bhaktapur: Goods of archaeological importance of Malla era have been discovered while excavating a well on the premises of Taleju Temple at Bhaktapur Durbae Square. Goods like copper jug, a copper plaque of Ranodip Malla and other pieces have been found at the site, according to Aruna Nakarmi, chief of the archaeology department''s office at Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Similar goods have been found while building over a dozen of wells by Bhaktapur Municipality at different places. — RSS

Baitadi: A six-year-old girl has died of diarrhoea in Baitadi. Gomati Karki of Salsena of Nwali- 6 breathed her last in course of treatment on Thursday morning, according the family source. — RSS
Cash crunch
Dolakha: With Dashain inching closer, cash crunch has begun to show up in Nepal Bank, Dolakha Branch. The bank is running out of cash after the Nepal Rastra Bank delayed sending the desired amount. Nepal Bank, Dolakha Branch has rejected the check of over Rs 5,000 from today due to cash stock. Sundar Khadka, Branch Manager of the Bank, said the bank was unable to distribute the money from today to more than 4,000 pensioners from Dolakha, Ramechhap, Sindhupalchowk, Okhaldhunga and Solukhumbu districts. Khadka informed that if NRB further delayed sending the cash within the next few days, transactions at the bank would come to a standstill. He alleged that the officials at the NRB have neglected their demand saying that it was a nationwide problem. The bank daily releases Rs 4 million to Rs 5 million . This does not include the salary of the government employees. Last year, the bank had been able to pay some 200 million rupees during the Dashain. —RSS
