Three dead in mishap

NEPALGUNJ: Three persons were killed and 29 injured when a tractor carrying a wedding party from Raniyapur VDC of Banke met with an accident at Ralingachowk along the East-West Highway on Sunday night. The deceased have been identified as Thaggu Tharu (30), Atariya Tharu (70) and Bhurahi Tharu of Raniyapur VDC. The injured are being treated in Nepalgunj. — HNS

Man ‘kills’ father

SIRAHA: Police arrested Saileth Ghising of Jamdaha VDC-9 on Monday on the charge of killing his father Tulasi Ghising (65). Saileth was under the influence of alcohol when he thrashed and hanged his father, the police said. The police have also arrested Tulasi’s daughter-in-law. — HNS
