IPU team meets PM
KATHMANDU: Sir John Stanley, MP of the British Parliament who is leading an Inter-Parliamentary Union delegation to Nepal, paid a courtesy call on PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal at Baluwatar, on Monday. During the meeting, they discussed matters related to Nepal’s peace process and the progress on the drafting of a new constitution. The delegation comprised MPs from both the House of Commons and the House of Lords of the British Parliament. — RSS
Dispute closes school
RUKUM: Jana Kalyan Secondary School of Bhalakcha VDC in Rukum has been closed from Monday due to a dispute between the locals over shifting of a health post of the VDC from Ward No-1 to 9. Students closed it after locals of Ward No-9 cut water supply pipeline to the school. — HNS
New building for APF
KATHMANDU: Inspector General of Armed Police Force Basudev Oli inaugurated a new office building of the Kalinchowk Bhagawati Battalion at Kirtipur on Monday. Addressing the function, Oli praised effort of the APF personnel to control smuggling via several entry points. — HNS
