Four killed in mishap

Chitwan: Four persons were killed and 13 injured when a bus rammed into a truck at Chainpur along the Hetaunda section of the East West Highway on Thursday. The bus was heading east from Kathmandu at 01:00 am. Two of the deceased were identified as Ram Bahadur Tamang (50) of Udaypur and Yogendra Sharma (25) of Panchthar. A woman and a girl are among the deceased but are yet to be identified. — HNS

Phidim: The Limbuwan Volunteers affiliated to the Federal Limbuwan State Council on Thursday allegedly detained journalist Laxman Rai for more than an hour, accusing him of filing a news report accusing the LV of abducting a local businessman. Birgunj: The Nepal Multinational Company Trade Union National Committee has expressed concern about the agitation called by the workers of Bottlers Nepal Limited, Chitwan. Issuing a press statement on Thursday, the committee urged the management of the BNL to heed to the workers’ demand, threatening to launch a nation-wide agitation from December 7 if MNCs failed to implement the decision. —HNS
