Woman found dead
DHULIKHEL: An unidentified woman was found dead on the banks of Jhiku river in Kharelthok VDC-7 on Thursday. A local, Indra Bahadur Lama, saw the body. Villagers informed the police about the incident. The dead body has been sent to TU Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu for post-mortem. — HNS
Cop falls off cliff
SANKHUWASABHA: Head constable at the Mudhesanischare Police Post, Yash Saran Shrestha,
was hurt when he fell off a cliff in Sankhuwasabha on Wednesday. Shrestha fell when he was returning to the police post after collecting firewood in a forest, the police said. Limbu said Shrestha had his left leg fractured. — HNS
FNJ’s concern
KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) on Thursday expressed concern about the status of Dhangadhi editor of Janadisha daily Jagat Prasad Joshi. The editor has gone missing for a month. A team of FNJ office-bearers met the Kailali CDO and asked the administration to find the whereabouts of Joshi. — HNS
Gandak-hit flay govt
KATHMANDU: Gandak Flood Control Agitation Committee on Thursday accused the government of not bothering to meet its 21-point demand. According to the committee, the government has not yet come up with an assessment report on the losses that 13 VDCs incurred after the Gandaki river breached its embankment over six years ago. " — HNS
