Man abducted

LAHAN: An unidentified gang abducted a commoner, Raju Shrestha, of Kuraba Tole of Hanumannagar VDC-8 of Siraha on Tuesday. The police said the gang kidnapped Shrestha from his home and whisked him away towards an undisclosed location. Shrestha might have been abducted for ransom, said inspector Janak Lal Chaudhary. —RSS

Child falls to death

SYANGJA: A minor died here after falling off from a roteping during Kaligandaki River Festival on Monday. The police identified the deceased as Dorje Tamang (14) of Kumari, Nuwakot. Tamang, who had sustained serious injuries in the accident, died on way to a hospital. — RSS
