Flood-hit seize land

TIKAPUR: Some 30 families of flood victims of Tikapur have grabbed over seven bighas of land of a playground in the municipality, accusing the government of ignoring their plight. 12 hurt in clash

BARA: At least 12 persons were injured when two groups clashed over an issue related to a child in Kalaiya of Bara on Tuesday. Pramod Kumar Shah, Sanjay Shah, Nathuni Shah, Dinesh Shah, Anita Kumari Yadav and Umesh Yadav of Kalaiya-2 were critically hurt, police said, adding that they were taken to Birgunj for treatment. Six more persons sustained minor injuries in the clash, the police said. — HNS

Woman found dead

DIPAYAL: A PLA combatant, Kalawati Nath ‘Srijana’, of Sisapani Brigade of Maoist’s seventh division was found dead in Budar of Doti district on Tuesday. Kalawati (23) was found hanging on a tree,” the Doti District Police Office said. — HNS
