Kamala in spate

JANAKPURDHAM: Six VDCs were affected in eastern part of Dhanusha due to the flooding in Kamala river. Some 35 houses were inundated by the flood in Harine Hathmunda. Balasdhara, Patanuka, Balhakathala, and Inaruwa villages were also submerged. Similarly, Jalad and Jamuni rivers also affected the Janakpur-Jayanagar railway service. —RSS

Bagmati festival ends

LALITPUR: Bagmati Festival-2008 was observed on Saturday amidst several programmes. A marathon from Chovar to Teku, cycle tour and Bagmati heritage walk and rafting from Kupandole to Teku were organised to celebrated the festival. Likewise, the axe, Abhaya and steam engine bands performed during the programme. —RSS
