Blasts near IOM office

DAMAK: An unidentified gang hurled three socket bombs near the IOM office at 7:50 pm, the police said. The explosions caused no major damage, Inspector Govinda Raj Kafle said, adding that a tin roof of a shed on the IOM premises was blown off. — HNS

NEW DELHI: Two Nepalis, who were working as labourers in Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir, died when their rented room caught fire in Bhimbhat village of Daras Area on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as Jit Bahadur, 24, and Madhu Lamsal, 23. — HNS

Woman found dead

DAMAK: A woman was found dead at Juropani on Gaurigunj-Damak section of road on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Krishna Maya Prasadi, 40, of Juropani-8. Locals suspected she might have died after she was hit by a bus. — HNS

House bombed

BARA: An unidentified gang detonated a socket bomb in the house of Mahammed Sagir Miya at Shitalpur of Dharmanagar-9 in Bara on Sunday. Miya is an employee at the Water Supply and Sanitation Division. The explosion partially damaged the house, police said. Bara-Parsa incharge of the Tarai Cobra Pratik owned up the incident. — HNS

Nepali dies in Qatar

BIRGUNJ: A Nepali youth died in Qatar on Saturday. Prabhakar Upadhyaya hailed from Mirjapur VDC-3 in Parsa district. His family said cause of his death was not known. — HNS
