Three dead, nine hurt

GAIGHAT: Three persons were killed when a passenger bus with 30 passengers on board overturned in Chure forest, along the Mirchaiya-Katari road section, on Wednesday morning. Nine persons were injured in the mishap. “Gaurishanker Shah of Siraha Fulbariya, bus conductor Dhan Bahadur Bhujel of Mahottari Bardibas-4 and 17-year-old Ram Bahadur Katuwal of Katari-4 died on the spot,” police said.— HNS

NAWALPARASI: Thirty-year-old Ram Chandra Gyawali, resident of Agrasa of Tamsariya VDC-4, drowned in a well on Tuesday evening.

Woman murdered

KHOTANG: Body of an elderly woman was found in a forest of Baspani VDC 4, Khotang district on Wednesday. “The victim is Krishnalal Rai’s wife Dilu Rai of Baspani-5,” police said. Locals had seen the corpse in the forest on Wednesday. — HNS
