NC wins in Rautahat-4

Rautahat: NC candidate Krishna Prasad Yadav has won Constituent Assembly election from Rautahat-4. Yadav secured 9,997 votes and defeated his nearest rival Satya Narayan Bhagat of CPN-Maoist with a margin of 1,081 votes. MJF’s Jaya Nath Yadav got 8,085, TMDP’s Hari Narayan Sahani got 6,739 and UML’s Dr Banshidhar Misra secured 5,525 votes. —HNS

SP wins in Sarlahi

SARLAHI: Sadbhavana Party )Mahato) candidate Khowari Roy Yadav has been elected to the CA from Sarlahi-5 on Thursday. Yadav received 13,142 votes while his nearest rival Jangi Lal Roy of the TMDP Jangi Lal Roy garnered 12,297 votes. — HNS

Conjoined twins

RUPANDEHI: Bindu KC (22) of Fulabang-9 in Salyan gave birth to twins with conjoined heads and stomachs on Wednesday. The twins weigh 1.25 kg. Gynaecologist Dr Meera Thapa of the Lumbini zonal hospital, where the twins were born, said pregnant women should take nutritious food and take care of their health to avert defective deliveries like this.
