Property gutted

SIRAHA: Property worth Rs 12 lakh was gutted when fire engulfed 16 houses of 10 families at Harakatti-2 here at midnight on Friday. The house of Gangaram Shah in Harkatti-2 caught fire while he was lighting fire to keep himself warm. The fire soon spread to the houses of his neighbours Narayan Nayak, Fusiyaha Nayak, Ram Dev Nayak, Bhola Nayak, Ram Autar

Mahaseth, Mahadev Mahaseth and Sitara Mahaseth. Fusiyaha’s two calves were also burnt to death in the incident. Such incidents are a regular phenomenon in recent days.— HNS
