Property looted

NEPALGUNJ: A group of dacoits looted property worth Rs 5 lakh from the house of one Prakash Shah in Koreanpur of Nepalgunj on Tuesday night. Police said they have arrested Sritaj Pandit, Munna and Shambu on the charge of looting the house, adding Indian police have also nabbed one dacoit. — HNS

Maoist cadre attacked

TAPLEJUNG: An armed group attacked Tara Pokhrel, Maoist’s 10 number area committee member of Taplejung, on Tuesday. The group attacked Pokhrel and injured him seriously at Veterinary Chock while he was on his way to home from Panchthar. Pokhrel, who was earlier rushed to the Taplejung district hospital, has been sent to the Koshi Zonal hospital on Wednesday. — HNS
