10 vehicles vandalised

ITAHARI: Ten transport vehicles were vandalised during a one-day Sunsari bandh organised by the cadres of Nepali Madheshi Student Front (NMSF) on Tuesday. The cadres organised the bandh demanding the whereabouts of Jitendra Shah, valley in charge of Madhesi Youth Forum affiliated to the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum. NMSF has been claiming that YCL cadres have abducted Shah. — HNS

Acharya in New Delhi

NEW DELHI: The meeting of high-level government officials of SAARC nations that began here from Monday has agreed to activate the different regional centers and technical committees constituted under the SAARC, under secretary at Nepal’s foreign ministry and leader of the Nepali team at the meeting Pradyumna Shah said on Tuesday. Meanwhile, foreign secretary Gyan Chandra Acharya has arrived here on Tuesday to attend the SAARC standing committee meet comprising foreign secretaries of the SAARC nations. — HNS

Three held for attack

Pyuthan: One Shyam Bahadur Nepali, 18, who was held on the charge of being involved in attacking Press Chautari Nepal central member and editor of Pyuthan Samachar Dainik Numraj Khanal, admitted his involvement in the attack. According to the police, Nepali along with two other persons under the influence of alcohol, attacked Khanal who was returning home from the station of Radio Pyuthan on Saturday night. — HNS
